It all started with a Leica and a dream. At just 10 years old, Sarah was modeling her uncle’s Leica camera, captivated by his creative eye and the magic of photography. That moment sparked a lifelong passion for capturing the soul of a moment—and imagining new ways to tell its story.
Today, as the founder of Photistica Studios, Sarah blends photography, illustration, and music to create immersive keepsakes that celebrate life’s most meaningful experiences. Her work spans intimate event coverage, custom songs, storybook-style portraits, and live vocal sets—all infused with emotional depth and artistic vision.
With experience performing at the 2010 Olympics Edgewater Event, photographing Night Market Festivals, and collaborating with artists across Vancouver, Sarah brings a rare dual perspective to every project: she understands the rhythm of live events from both sides of the lens.
Whether she’s documenting a music recital, writing a custom birthday song, or painting a moment from a wedding, Sarah’s mission is simple: to help people feel seen, celebrated, and remembered.

Where creativity meets connection.
My passion for photography began when I was a young girl. One Christmas, I asked my mother for two things: a camera and a book on how to become a professional photographer.
That simple wish sparked a lifelong journey. I took that camera everywhere—on family outings, through quiet moments at home, and even across Canada during my teenage travels. I still have that old camera today, with undeveloped film tucked inside. One day, I plan to develop it and rediscover the memories I captured as a young dreamer with a lens in hand.
Now, I’m proud to say I’ve turned that childhood dream into a vibrant career.
As the founder of Photistica Studios, I specialize in photographing people in ways that reveal their true light. I believe every person has a story worth telling, and my role is to help them feel seen, celebrated, and beautifully remembered.
My approach is warm, intuitive, and creative. I make my photoshoots fun, easygoing, and stress-free so clients feel relaxed and confident. That comfort allows their personalities to shine—whether it’s through a subtle smile, a playful glance, or the sparkle in their eyes. I often say I help people “smile with their eyes,” because that’s where the soul lives.
